Case Studies

Your case studies at the National School of Aesthetics

Case studies gauge the competence of your decision-making and treatment before, during and after a treatment.

Case Studies Overview

A case study is written documentation of work you have carried out on a client. A case study should reflect your competence in and knowledge of the subject.

Case studies are compulsory. You must achieve a pass grade in case study work to qualify for NaSA and ITEC.

All work must be your own work.

ITEC now calls case studies evidence of treatments. These are still, in essence, the same as case studies.

  • Case studies are completed under the guidance of your tutors, who will monitor the quality of your written work. Case study portfolios are then presented to the examiner as part of your final examinations.
  • Each case study should take 3-5 hours work: practical and written. Some case studies can be started in class and then completed at home, but for the majority of your case studies should be completed outside of class.
  • Certain case studies are due at various times of the year. See the Case Studies Due Dates for your due dates during the course.

Downloadable Case Studies Forms

Please find information and downloadable forms about case studies.

When you open any of the Word (.doc) files, you will be prompted for a password. Click "Read only" when you do. You can alter the gray areas in the document, then save it. It would be best to save each one with a different, memorable name, like "body-therapy-client-3-01-10.doc"
