Stage 1: Your Application

Fill out the application form. Please note requirements may vary from programme to programme.

• You must submit all information before we book an interview.
• If we are not able to view your previous study on the NZQA Record of Learning Web site, you may need to submit proof of prior learning.
• Please post, drop-in or courier your application to us.
• We highly suggest you photocopy or scan your application and supporting information prior to sending it to us in case it gets lost in the post.
• If you are applying for a professional development programme, and trained with us in the last 5 years or so, we may not need proof of learning or to interview you. We will confirm this with you.

If applying for a short professional development programme:

• You only submit your application and proof of holding the pre-requisite qualification(s); and
• If we approve your application, you can skip the interview and go directly to enrolment.
• You will need to download and read the Student Handbook.

If you are an existing student wishing to enrol in another programme with us, you merely need to see Lyssa or Scott for enrolment documentation and skip to the enrolment stage.

Stage 2: Your Interview

The interview has four parts, all of which you must undertake:

Before the Interview

• Familiarise yourself with our policies and procedures, including the Student Handbook, which you can download from our Web site; and
• Watch and understand the Interview Presentation on our Web site at http://www.nasa.co.nz/enrol/interview-presentation.htm

At the Interview

• The tour of our campus (timetable permitting)
• An individual interview between you and us

Our representatives evaluate whether you are suitable for the programme during the interview by assessing you against the programme requirements through both the interview and your submitted information.

Up to a week after your interview, we will notify you in writing if we are offering you a place in the programme. If we reject your application, we reserve the right not to reveal our reasons why.

Stage 3: Enrolment

Fill out the enrolment form and, if applicable, other accompanying forms. Please note requirements may vary from programme to programme.

You will need to enrol within two weeks (normal enrolment period) or as soon as possible (late enrolment period). We encourage you to enrol as soon as possible to avoid disappointment or if you need a specific place in your programme (if available).

If we offer you a place in the programme during the late enrolment period, we cannot guarantee a place is available, only that you meet our entry criteria.

If you complete the enrolment successfully, we will notify you in writing that we are holding a specific place for you in the programme. You should start attending the course on the first day. You must submit the information required to satisfy the enrolment requirements before we can accept you into the programme.
