Your Interview

Showing you around, talking about what’s expected of you and discussing your application

In your interview, we discuss your goals and aspirations about the beauty course and the beauty industry. This meeting helps ensure you are to the quality and level we require for entry into our beauty courses.

You may not need to attend an interview if you are a recent NaSA student or graduate, or if you are applying for a Statement of Achievement (short) course.

Before Your Interview

You will need to:

School Policies and Procedures

You will need to familiarise yourself with our policies and procedures, including the Student Handbook. International Students should also familiarise themselves with the Student Handbook International Student Supplement.

The Interview Presentation

You will need to watch the Interview Presentation.

We may terminate and reschedule your appointment if you have not watched the presentation. We highly suggest you familiarise yourself with our policies and procedures before our meeting so we can discuss your application more in-depth.

Your Interview

The two sections are:

The School Tour

One of our friendly staff will take you on a tour around our school. Access to some rooms may be limited if current students are undertaking classes.

Your Individual Interview

At the approximate time listed in your letter, we will have an individual interview. We will ask you several questions and discuss your application and goals with you. This should take between 30 minutes and 1 hour.

Students who appear to have weak English skills may be given a comprehension test.

You have the right to bring someone along to all sections; however, please contact us prior to the meeting to let us know that person is coming along, so we can adjust the space accordingly.

Please bring any originals with you of the information you have submitted along with you. We will review it. Also bring any questions you may have.

Also ensure your appearance (clothes, etc.) is appropriate for the situation.

No-Shows for Interviews

If you are booked in for an interview and you do not show up, and you do not contact us with regards to why you did not show up (within a reasonable amount of time), we reserve the right to disqualify you from any further applications with us indefinitely. We also reserve the right to charge you a fee if you do not show up, if you don’t follow instructions, and / or if you submit information and do not respond to our attempt at contacting you. See Fees and Charges for further information on what to expect for withdrawal or no-show fees.
